Spring is in the Air. . .

. . . not quite, but today is feeling good. Going to be in the 50's this afternoon. Bring it on! Also, on February 2, Punxsutawney Phil surveyed his surroundings carefully and found that there was no shadow around, which means an early spring.  Of course, he also predicted the Steelers would win the Super Bowl . . .

Joey and Tera and their daughters, Cammi and Jade, moved this past weekend into a 1930's old style farmhouse.  It is old and has been so uncared for [read dilapidated] but it has a certain charm and so much potential.  J and T have refinished all the wood floors to a rich dark brown and they are beautiful. The girls each of their own huge bedrooms, which they repainted in a rainbow of pastel colors and the girls are delighted. On the property is a little potting shed that will be fixed up for the girls' playhouse. There is a two car garage (albeit wood and rotting) for Joey to set up a workshop.  A back room to the garage for Tera to keep chickens and added to that is a rather disgusting outhouse.  Yep, you read that right - an OUTHOUSE!!  Ewwwwww! The yard is huge, the front porch quaint and in the kitchen a very large center working station with sink - love it!!!
