My second son phoned me this morning. He is so nervous. He is getting married April 7th. He's not nervous about getting married, he is so happy about that. But he is nervous in general. He will sweat. He will stutter. When it is over, the day will be a happy blur and he will wonder why he was so nervous in the first place. Then the next day he will have to board the plane. He will be nervous all over again. He will sweat. He will stutter. I am gifting the plane tickets. I have looked in vain for 49 stops between Pittsburgh and Orlando. One stop each for the nights I stayed awake waiting for him to get his butt home, for the messy room, the skipped school days, the homework not done, the wrecked car, the worrying, the wondering, the yelling, the ..... And then I remember that sweet, innocent face, the little premie, born two months early, the big blue eyes, the smile wider than his whole face, the way he crushed his Matchbox cars only to tape them back together again, the hours spent digging holes in the yard, lining them with foil and filling them with water for his beloved Tonka trucks, his Dutch boy haircut, the I Love Yous, the devilish grins and OH BOY he was a little devil, the Funderoos, the Chips Motorbikes, OMGosh my heart swells, sigh ... the best I can come up with is one stop, maybe two. Dagnabit.

| My Son, Jayme, and his lovely bride to be, Tina |
Speaking of weddings, Tina's bridal shower was this past weekend. After going to the wrong Church (I blame my daughter, 1. she was driving, and 2. she's in the wedding!), we arrived with 15 minutes to spare. My new daugther-to-be, Tina, is delightful. She is always happy and has the most infectious laugh! A really fun person to be around.
