| Birthday Girl |
Today we celebrated Jade's 5th birthday. Hard to believe this little princess is now 5. She will be entering kindergarten in the fall. I didn't attend the actual birthday party, in fact, when I read the temp as being 15 degrees, I debated on going out at all. But the North wind that blew hardily yesterday had died down and it wasn't too bad out. I got a few things done around the house, Mom came over for lunch and then we drove over to the girls' house for a visit. Cammi greeted me at the door with a big hug, Jade hid behind the table for a big scare greeting. They were lovely little ladies, dressed in red, as pretty as Valentines. They were happy and giggly. Jade opened her cards, ran around the table, showed me a gift already received and let me take photos of her and Cam with the cake. Well, partly so she could keep blowing out the candles. They were delightful and fun and so full of energy. The girls' Mom texted me later to say that the party was a success and the attendees did not want to leave - a sure sign of a good party.
Aside from doing a few loads of laundry, crocheting and preparing for the work week, I've enjoyed this cold, quiet day. May you have enjoyed yours.
