At the beginning of the year, I chose my OLW to be "Frugal." This word just isn't working for me, as by the 4th of January, a son moved back in and he has this habit of needing food once or twice a day. And as experience has shown (and I've had the experience!), when a child (most particularly, a son/sons) move(s) back in, the utility bills indubitably go up. They have this need to open windows when the furnace is on. GO OUTSIDE IF YOU ARE HOT! I am usually freezing. Factor in the outrageous gasoline prices (most of which I wore during my last fill-up, don't ask), and the cost of airline tickets (never offer to buy the wedding cake again!), Frugal is Mr. Pennywise in disguise.
| Awww, were you serious about saving?? muwhahaha |
Keak - To cackle, laugh at.
K, stop that keaking right now!
Fleer - To laugh in a disrespectful or jeering way.
K, seriously, do you have to fleer so?
Flizzen - To laugh with the whole face.
K, maybe you shouldn't flizzen like that, you look kind of weird.
(I'm going to use these this weekend, muwhahaha!)
Oh, so, after very careful thought, I am switching my word to THANKFUL, because I am thankful to have two sons who still want to hang with their Mom, the car to put the gas in, the working furnace, and for a whole bunch of other stuff!
